Well, another b-day for me means its
election time again. I don't think it will surprise anyone that I'm
desperately hoping for a Democratic sweep. Having said that, and having
quoted another comic in my last rant, this one is from Lewis Black. "How
hard can it be for the DNC to come up with a candidate? It's like trying
to choose between two bowls for shit." Ya, that's about right! I've also
really been enjoying Lettermans skits lately about great Presidential
speeches in history. The latest one being dubya talking about his cowboy
hat and country music on his iPod. Lord, help us. I'm very concious of
the fact that all politicos are corrupt, soulless, power hungry savants.
What would be nice is a return to even an attempt at bi-partisan. No
more us Vs. them mentality. The only thing that keeps my somewhat
hopeful is that a) he only has 2 years left - b) if we have a Democratic
led Senate and House, it will make it that much harder for dubya to back
door a war with Iran next.
