Installed my Poron Backup Alarm System. 10/18/2003
System Box.
Components. Absolutely complete. Did not need to add a thing. (Except a zip tie or 20)
Temporarily taped the sensors on to check for accuracy at selected mounting points. These worked well.
Close-up of one of the sensors still taped on.
Since I was mounting the "brain" in the side storage compartment, I ran the wires up through the drain hole already provided.
Custom hook (coat hanger) used to grab and pull wires up through the drain. This can be a little tedious.
The unit requires only the 12 volts supplied by the reverse lights. This photo shows the left tail light harness. Notice you tap into the GREEN wire.
There, all wires are pulled and unit is tested. After testing, sensors are permanently mounted.
All wires cleaned up and brain mounted with double sided tape.

I ran the speaker wire under the truck and up through the same access as the emergency brake cable. This allowed just enough cable to mount the speaker up and under the left kick panel and out of sight. You can hear it perfectly.
